Racing Club Ferrol has taken an important step towards inclusion by implementing an audio description service at the A Malata stadium.

The project, developed in partnership with Escoita, was launched at the game against Real Oviedo, allowing visually impaired people to enjoy a more immersive experience during LALIGA Hypermotion matches.

Through the Escoita app, an innovative technology developed by ARMIS, users can follow the detailed, real-time narration of matches on their mobile devices, thanks to a latency of less than 300 milliseconds. This solution eliminates barriers and makes A Malata one of the most accessible stadiums in the world for people with visual impairments.

The project had the enthusiastic support of eight-year-old Álvaro Otero, who inspired the arrival of the app at the stadium. During the match, Álvaro and other users were able to count on the dedicated narration of Xavi Collazo, making the experience unique and uninterrupted.

With the cooperation of Racing Club Ferrol and Escoita, the A Malata stadium has become an example of accessibility in sport, promoting inclusion and improving the experience of visually impaired fans.

This initiative reflects the institutions' commitment to creating more inclusive sporting events, in line with the values of innovation and equality that help build a more accessible future in soccer.
