ABANCA-RIAZOR stadium in A Coruña, in collaboration with the Escoita project and the RC Deportivo Foundation, has become a pioneer in terms of accessibility in La Liga by implementing audio description in all its LaLiga Hypermotion matches.

The initiative is the result of collaboration between the Escoita project, led by Jesús Suárez, the RC Deportivo Foundation and ARMIS and began to be implemented in the match against Real Oviedo on 17 August.

The Escoita app combines accessibility with technology to ensure that visually impaired fans can experience sporting events in real time, making sport more inclusive. The project reflects the club's commitment to inclusion and social responsibility and sets the stadium as an example in Spain.

Throughout the match, users were able to experience the excitement and energy of the game through detailed narrations and precise descriptions that conveyed the events on the pitch as well as the atmosphere and emotion of the moment.

From here on in, we can expect Escoita to expand to include an even wider variety of sporting events and become an integral part of the sporting experience for people who are blind or visually impaired.
